Deluxe is a favourite classic style we have been making for a long time and it is still a popular choice to bring sheen and glamour to a room. The raised cut pile art silk gently reaches above the alternate rows of felted wool bringing splendour and sheen to this product. In large area rugs we see the beauty of the highly lustrous art silk reflecting an array of hues from the yarn’s base colour. A gentle rib is formed by the rows of lower cut pile in felted wool, bringing stability and strength to this design. For a more dramatic rib effect, we would use a contrasting wool colour.
The lower cut pile row is finished at 12 mm and the raised art silk row is finished at 18 mm.
Our Deluxe rug style is most suited to the lounge and formal living areas. For placement in a higher traffic rooms, we recommend replacing the art silk yarn with our 66 nylon yarn as this is a much. More hard-wearing and sturdy yarn.
