The soft, warm and durable properties of New Zealand merino wool combined with the shimmer of art silk make up CRONZ’s semi-shaggy rug style Imperial. Imperial evokes imagery of a royal palace-like environment and luxury. NZ merino wool is selected above our standard wool yarn purely for the soft alluring feel it possesses.
This rug style is made to a 20-25 mm high cut level, creating movement and glimmer to the palatial finish. The use of tonal wool and art silk colours build a restful structure highlighting the tones as opposed to a mix of contrasting colours. We have a wide selection of art silk colours to build around the chosen wool colour, and if we still do not have the correct tone in art silk in our range, our dyers confidently match to any specific colour to fashion the best possible colour combination.
