Sylvia Park Respite Areas Rugs

This project started back in 2020 when we were engaged by JKW Interior Architecture & Design studio to create custom rugs for all the respite areas in the new extension of the Sylvia Park shopping mall. This included 8 large rugs, some as big as 54 m2, with various geometric designs, 5 beautiful colours and carved detailing. All the rugs were made of 100% pure New Zealand wool and shorn to the plush 10 mm finish. CRONZ colours Pure Gold & Toffee, Pure Thistle & Olive, Pure Dusk & Ochre, Pure Coal and Pure Seaweed were used to create trendy hues, and were carefully dyed on the pure NZ wool yarn. Just like every CRONZ product, the Sylvia Park rugs were constructed using our specialty tufting machines and software. Some rugs had to be tufted in two pieces and joined on the ground due to their large size. This was one of the largest rug projects we completed and it took nearly 280 hours of tufting & finishing to bring these beautiful and truly unique rugs to life.
